Ladies, I am so proud and honored that you come to a decision about spending your precious time in learning my culture and way of life of my home country the Philippines. I also would like to thank, all our family members who gives us so much freedom and all sacrifices of not having to be with us for so many days!!!

City of Oskarshamn, Sweden

Some people might raise their eyebrows and think, where in the world is that? Okay, if you haven't been to Oskarshamn and not been able to conclude by googling yet, I can cast light upon showing some pictures to intensify you curiosity regarding this city.

Me, my husband and two daughters arrived in Oskarshamn one warm, sunny but somewhat sleepy city on May 1996. (Oh my gosh, almost thirteen years way back! I must claim that it's the longest period I have lived with the same place in my whole life....)!!!! So now, I have the proof that I'm no nomad woman no more! He-he.... Seriously speaking, after 3 years in Örebro, Sweden; followed by 3 years in Dumaguete City, Philippines and the next city for 5 years was Caldas da Rainha, Portugal and lastly but not the least, (I hope...) Oskarshamn!!! How we landed here inasmuch as my husband and I decided to bring-up our two children in a Swedish ambience and culture.

We had a pleasurable time in Portugal and made a lot of friends that even now I am still communicating with, but for those who have the same experience as we do, possibly could comprehend why we hurried to comeback to Sweden. It was fantastic that our daughters could switch into 3 languages automatically and for our part as parents were fabulous; we can speak Portugues fluently but we somehow feel that resource shortage could strike us linguistically speaking at any moment. Instinctively, we are right! Imagine, all those homework quiz Olle and I helped our daughters alternately; ( to be fair enough, it was Olle who did especially when it comes to Math, Chemistry and Physics)! PHEWW!!

This month, Oskarshamn have been a busy center of all nuclear power plant experts. An inventive entrepreneur even send a huge and magnific ferry as a floating hotel to all worldwide visitor workers.

So far, global crisis has not reach our little "duckpond" yet! I really hope we can get away from it!!! We are looking forward for an exciting, inspiring, lively and pleasant Oskarshamn this spring to come!!!!

SCHÄTZE DEUTSCHER KONST by Gerhard Ulrich, REMBRANDT by J. Bolten & H. Bolten Rempt, MICHELANGELO by Roberto Salvini, THE CIVIL WAR in Art by D. Jacob

We are still in the infinite sequel of our home-upgrading and I must admit it feels wistful to be separated from my precious belongings that for ages gives me wisdom, joy and inspiration; my books!!!!!! I became a bookworm since I started to learn how to speak Swedish and I begun ploughing-through all childrens books and after 3 months I was able to speak 85% of the language! Not bad, huh? Well, as I mentioned before; that was almost 30 years ago! Brain cells and definitely hormones are on their active heights at that time. Unfortunately, the remaining 15% has just yet started to collapse! I can not blame it on my poor little brain. Perhaps, I overwrought this "giga" thingy when I shuttle between 6 different languages now and then, it's not strange at all that my "mini apparatus" is giving-up occasionally.

But with my books I can always count on them! If not with all the colorful and beautiful illustrations, it's always the knowledge I gained by reading. Just like when it comes to arts; I was so illiterate in that subject in a sense of ignorance! I couldn't even see the difference between litography and watercolor paintings! Or what is panel or canvas etc.. But with devotion and desire with my books I became capable to practise the job in this particular trade or business I am enjoying now!

These books are just a few of those I am going to sell at my ebay.com auctions, for interested party please contact emma_kilstrom@hotmail.com and I'll try my best to answer your inquiry as quickly as possible. I just want to share the beauty of the contents of these once desirable piece of works but scarcely look up upon today's high-tech society.
